Characteristic: 303 stainless steel is an austenitic type acid steel with feature of easy cutting and wear resistant . In order to improve the properties of the steel, no more than 0.60% molybdenum can be added into the steel, which is ablative resistant.
After annealing, the tensile strength of 303 stainless steel is 515mpa, the curvature is 205mpa, and the elongation is 40%. Standard hardness of stainless steel 303 is HRB 90-100, HRC 20-25 (note: hrb100 = hrc22.9).
Use: 303 stainless steel is a kind of free cutting stainless steel containing sulfur and selenium, which is mainly used in the products requiring easy cutting feature and high surface finish. 303 stainless steel has higher cutting performance and higher temperature resistance. It is most suitable for automatic lathes, bolts and nuts.
